Delete Your Account

VoiceMoir (AI Voice Diary) — Operator: IE Basimov Almaz Aslyamovich (Georgia, Batumi)

How to delete your account

You can request full deletion of your VoiceMoir account and all associated data in two ways:

  1. In the app: open “Profile” → scroll to the bottom → tap “Delete account” → confirm. The app may ask you to confirm it's you: with your password, a code sent to your email, or by signing in again with Apple or Google. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
  2. By email: if you no longer have access to the app, write to support@voicemoir.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete account". We will delete it within a reasonable time and confirm by email.
  3. No other identity verification is required beyond using the account's registered email.

Before deleting, you can save your entries: “Profile” → “Download all my entries” (a JSON file), and your book as a PDF on the “Biography” screen.

What data is deleted

The following are permanently and immediately deleted: your diary entries and their audio recordings, photos, your book (including books about relatives), your Tree of Life, your book recipients, family-circle links and invitations, in-app support conversations, your profile (name, email, avatar, Apple and Google sign-in links), your subscription record and notification tokens.

What is retained, for how long, and why

  • Security log entries (event type and time) — kept indefinitely, but your user ID, IP address and details are erased from them immediately, so they can no longer be linked to you.
  • Your email address in the list of addresses that have already received the free trial — kept indefinitely, only so that the free trial is not given to the same address again. For the same reason, a fingerprint (hash) of your address is kept so that the referral bonus is not given twice.
  • Database backups made before the deletion — up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Technical server logs — up to 8 weeks. They contain account numbers and technical details, not the content of your entries; email addresses in them are masked.
  • What other people entered themselves stays with them: entries you added to someone else's diary as a co-author (without your name), information about you in their Tree of Life, and your email address if someone named you as their book recipient.
  • Emails you exchanged with support by email stay in the support mailbox; we will delete them on request.
  • If your account was deleted by our staff (for example, at your request to support), the administrator action log keeps a record of the deletion: the account number and your email address masked (for example, v***@example.com) — indefinitely, so that it is clear who deleted the account and when.
  • Nothing else is retained.
